Our new apprentices – Lance Chihuri, Zak Horsler and Dylan Badhan

Our three apprentices Lance Chihuri (production), Zak Horsler (engineering) and Dylan Badhan (production) (above, left to right) joined OSI Electronics UK’s shopfloor team in September 2021.  They are working under the direction of Liam Dixon, OSIE UK’s Production Manager and Joe Clayton, Engineering Manager.

“Our training scheme will provide them with a thorough grounding in electronics’ manufacturing,” said Liam.  “As a leading contracts electronics manufacturer, it’s a wonderful opportunity for them to learn the whole process from receipt of an order to despatch and the vital part good team work plays in the entire manufacturing process.”

Why do you like working here?

What are you doing at the moment?

‘Working within the SMT dept initially kitting and dekitting trolleys for the machines’ – Dylan.

Your ambitions?

‘Finish this and go onto HNC and HND over the next four years – and then keep going!’ – Lance.

‘I’m working on my first year HNC so I’d like to finish that, then potentially go for the HND and see how that pans out and establish myself in the company and have a stable foothold’ – Zak.

‘I want to build experience and gain qualifications while aiming to be a fully qualified SMT Operator and build up a reputation here so I’m known in the company for quite a long time’ – Dylan.
