Six key employees cut the ribbon on 24th August 2018 to open OSI Electronics UK’s new production facility at St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

Together with the main unit a few yards away, production space has increased from 35,000 to 55,000 ft² (3,250 to 5,100 m²).

“This is a big step from the days when production was limited to a few hundred units a month,” said John Harley, Director Business Development UK & EMEA.  “Now we’re looking at thousands – while still retaining the agility to meet customers’ changing needs.

“We will be extending our services to include configure-to-order and direct-ship capabilities to enhance our service and to remove unnecessary cost from the supply chain.”

“The new unit will be used for series production where smooth workflow is key to high productivity,” added Derek Williams, OSIE UK’s General Manager.

“It is a major step forward in facilitating our growth strategy and has been welcomed by all our customers.”
