By acquiring a new building (above centre) virtually next door to our Marlborough Road, St Neots, HQ (left), we have significantly increased our production space from 35,000 to 55,000 ft² (3,250 to 5,100 m²).

Fitting out is now well underway, with the installation of a mezzanine floor (right) and new electrics throughout the entire building.
“This gives a strong message to current and new customers we are committed in making financial investments to develop new opportunities,” said Derek Williams, General Manager, OSI Electronics UK.
Lean manufacturing
“The building specification will be very similar to our main building, having air conditioning and antistatic flooring etc.”
“As you would expect, we are making full use of the opportunity to improve our lean line manufacturing techniques,” added Derek.
“Simplifying our processes, increasing the utilisation or our equipment and improving our productivity, along with better configured-to-order [CTO] capabilities, gives our customers more flexibility to offer their customers better products tuned to their needs and markets.”
The new unit was opened in August 2018.
