Quality and environmental

At OSI Electronics, we believe quality and having care for the environment is the responsibility of everyone who works for us.

It is the duty of everyone in the company to make their contribution to all aspects of quality and ensure every job is right first time, every time.

Our policy is to deliver goods and services on time conforming to the specification and quality standards agreed with our customers at the outset of each project

We have developed and refined a culture which permeates through all staff from management, administration, engineering and testing right through to our manufacturing operators.

New staff are immediately inducted into our culture of quality through personal ownership.

Our quality objectives are continually monitored, reviewed, improved and amended based on experience, procedures, new equipment and customer feedback.

Our carefully constructed QMS (quality management system) – which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008 and ISO 13485: 2012 – provides all employees with guidance on procedures to ensure we achieve our quality aims efficiently and consistently.

Our environmental responsibilities

For over 20 years, we have worked hard to minimise our environmental impact and have achieved ISO 14001 for environmental management.

And it is many years since we switched to solvent free processes and embraced the RoHS directive on lead free soldering.

We have also responded positively to the ‘take back’ and end of life schemes, as described in the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive, which aims to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it.

We strive for efficient use of natural resources during manufacturing and shipment and minimise our waste.

We have set targets and objectives for continuous improvement to ensure that year on year, our overall environmental impact is reduced.
