Proud achievement!  Shop floor employees at OSI Electronics in St Neots with their IPC-A-610 Class 3 certificates.

All shop floor employees (above – click for a larger image) at our St Neots, Cambridgeshire, HQ have been trained to IPC-A-610 Class 3.

It means each one can assemble high reliability / critical electronic products for medical, military and aerospace applications.

IPC standards are used by electronics manufacturers to ensure the accuracy of assembly and manufacture of electronic equipment – resulting in better quality and reliability.

OSI Electronics is one of very few EMS companies in the UK to have every shop floor employee trained to this standard.

“I’m both delighted and proud of the outstanding achievements by all staff in successfully passing all classes of IPC-A-610 training,” said Derek Williams, OSIE UK’s General Manager.

“And special thanks to Ritchie Eagleton and Sonney Badhan, our in-house IPC qualified trainers, for the exemplary way in which this training has been successfully delivered.

“Additionally, good luck to Ritchie in now providing further training in IPC 7711/21.”

The IPC 7711 certification programme covers rework of PCBs and 7721 the repair and modification of PCBs.   IPC derived from Institute of Printed Circuits.
